Cambridgeshire Police Federation members are being encouraged to attend the final Election Café event ahead of the Federation elections which start next month.
The café event on Monday gives members a chance to talk with Fed reps and find out more about the role before nominations close in the coming weeks.
Potential candidates will hopefully be inspired to decide to stand for election after an informal chat with someone already in the know.
The Election Café event is part of the ongoing Reps@Work campaign which highlights the challenging but incredibly rewarding work carried out by the workplace reps.
Cambridgeshire Police Federation branch chair Liz Groom said:
“This is a great opportunity for members to meet a Fed rep and perhaps find out a little bit more about what the role entails.
It could help someone make up their mind about standing for election if they are considering putting themselves forward but are still undecided.
It is open to every serving member and we would particularly encourage members from under-represented groups to register, attend and find out more about becoming a rep.”
The Election Café will be open from 2pm until 3pm on Monday 21 June.
Members can register by emailing events@polfed.org.
