Cambridgeshire Police Federation is paying tribute to fallen colleague PC Andreas Newbery today.
PC Newbery (34) was killed on 5 February 2003 protecting a vehicle collision scene when a driver in a passing car lost control of the vehicle on ice and hit him. He died at the scene.
Liz Groom, chair of Cambridgeshire Police Federation, said: “Our thoughts today are with PC Newbery’s family and friends as they remember their loved one who died in such sad circumstances.
“It’s important that we continue to pay tribute to him and all our fallen colleagues; recognising the sacrifice they made while serving their communities.”
