The start of International Stress Awareness Week is a chance for members to focus on their wellbeing, says Cambridgeshire Police Fedration chair Liz Groom.

The week runs from 2 to 6 November, with National Stress Awareness Day today (4 November), and aims to raise awareness of stress prevention

Liz said: “The pandemic has highlighted the need to look after our physical and mental wellbeing. It’s had a profound effect on the health of many people, which is why we’re encouraging members to think about their wellbeing and to seek advice or support on managing stress.”

Police Mutual has produced a factsheet with tips on how to manage your stress such as exercise, organising your time and talking to friends, family or colleagues.

“It’s a handy guide with some helpful tips to improve your wellbeing,” Liz said, “And don’t forget that the Federation is always here for members who need its help and support.”
