Today marks the 10th anniversary of the death of a Cambridgeshire detective.

DC Sharon Garrett was 48 when she died in a car accident as she drove home at the end of a shift on 6 June 2014.

“Today we remember Sharon and the service she gave to the Force and to the communities of Cambridgeshire,” says Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom.

“But we also remember the family and friends Sharon left behind, and her former colleagues.”

Sharon joined the Force in 1991 and served in a number of roles including complex fraud investigations as part of the economic crime unit.
