Cambridgeshire Police Federation members are being encouraged to register for the annual conference and have their say on the issues affecting policing.

The Police Federation of England Wales (PFEW) conference takes place online on Tuesday 10 October and Wednesday 11 October.

It will be a mix of live broadcasts and pre-recorded presentations from senior Federation officials as well as experts in policing, Government, and the Home Office.

Liz Groom, Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair, said: “The conference will be discussing some of the key issues affecting our members including disclosure and redaction, the Home Office review of independent conduct panels, and retirement.

“Being online it opens the conference up to many more of our members who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.

“I’d encourage our members to register for the conference and have their say on the issues that are affecting them.”

The conference will be hosted by Talk TV presenter Ian Collins.

The day one agenda includes discussions on leadership in policing, Home Office review impact on independent panels, and disclosure and redaction, as well as retirement, misogyny, and Mutual Aid.

Industrial rights and wellbeing will be explored on day two when there will be a keynote address from PFEW chair Steve Hartshorn and a Q&A panel session.

The conference will also recognise outstanding contributions to policing through the presentation of awards for excellence in roads policing, detectives, and women in policing.
