Today marks the 45th anniversary of the death of Cambridgeshire Police officer DCI Kenneth Hunt.

Kenneth was driving back to Force HQ when he lost control of his car which left the road and crashed into a Fenland waterway near Ramsey on 23 October 1981. He was 48.

Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Stu Taylor said: “Today the branch will pause to honour DCI Kenneth Hunt and his commitment to duty and to serving and protecting our communities.

“We hold in our thoughts his family, friends and those who worked with him.

“It’s incredibly important that we remember the service and sacrifice of our fallen colleagues.”
