Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom is encouraging members to nominate colleagues who have made a significant contribution to women in policing for a major award.
The deadline for this year’s Police Federation of England and Wales Outstanding Contribution to Women in Policing Award is approaching – but there’s still time to make a nomination.
The award recognises officers, included those recently retired, who have gone above and beyond their duty and made a difference that’s led to a profound positive impact on others.
The deadline for nominations is Monday 18 April.
Liz said: “The award is a chance to celebrate the achievements of our female officers and those who have made a difference to women in policing.
“It’s a fantastic award and there’s still time to nominate a colleague before the deadline. It would be fantastic if the work of our colleagues here in Cambridgeshire was recognised.”
Nominees:
- Must be serving, or recently retired, officers of a Federated rank
- Can be male, female or the gender in which they identify
- Must have demonstrated how they have made an impact on, and significant contribution to, women in policing.
Nominators can be police officers or members of support staff.
Submit your nomination. Nominations will then be shared with Federation Branch Boards for final approval
The winner will be presented with the award at the Federation’s annual national conference on 17 and 18 May.
