Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom has today paid tribute to PC Edward Reynolds on the anniversary of his death.

Edward (47) was on an extended tour of duty with a support unit at Tilmanstone Colliery in Kent during the national miners’ strike in 1984. He was on standby in a police van when he collapsed and died of heart failure.

Liz said: “It is right and fitting that we remember those colleagues who lost their lives while serving the Force and their communities. Our thoughts remain with Edward’s family and friends, as well as his former colleagues.”
