Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom has today paid tribute to DC Sharon Garrett who died on this day eight years ago.
DC Garrett (48) was on her way home from duty on 6 June 2014 when her car was in collision with two cars and a lorry. She hadjoined the Force in 1991 and served in a number of roles, most recently investigating complex fraud offences in the economic crime unit.
“Today we remember DC Garrett and the service she gave to the people of Cambridgeshire. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and colleagues on this sad anniversary,” says Liz.
