Cambridgeshire PC Alan Lee died on this day 23 years ago.
Alan, 37, died after his scooter was in collision with a bus on 10 September 2002. He was outside Thorpe Wood police station reporting for duty at the time of the crash.
“Today we remember Alan and the service he gave to the Force and the communities of Cambridgeshire,” said Liz Groom, chair of Cambridgeshire Police Federation.
“We also keep his family, friends and former colleagues in our thoughts as they continue to feel his absence in their lives.”
