Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom has paid tribute to PC Alan Lee on the anniversary of his death.

Alan was killed on 10 September 2002 when his scooter was in collision with a bus outside Thorpe Wood Police Station as he was reporting for duty. He was 37.

Liz said: “The thoughts of everyone at Cambridgeshire Police Federation are with Alan’s family, friends and colleagues on this difficult day.

“It’s important for us to continue to remember and honour our fallen colleagues. Alan’s service and dedication to policing should never be forgotten.”
