Cambridgeshire Police Federation today pays tribute to PC Andreas ‘Andy’ Newbury on the anniversary of his death.
The Cambridgeshire traffic officer was struck by a vehicle as he attended the scene of a collision on the A1(M) at Alconbury on 5 February 2003. He was 34.
Branch chair Liz Groom said: “Today we pause and pay tribute to Andy, and recognise his sacrifice in serving our communities.
“Andy was a much-loved and respected officer, and his loss was felt right across the Force.
“Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues.”
