Cambridgeshire Police Federation chair Liz Groom has expressed her sympathy to the family of PC Leigh Norman who sadly died on Thursday following a short battle with cancer.

Leigh joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary in 2009 and worked in Cambridge City, the Force’s Tactical Team and then onto the Rural Crime Team.

“On behalf of all members of Cambridgeshire Police Federation, I would like to extend our sincere sympathies to Leigh’s family, friends and colleagues,” says Liz.

“Leigh, who worked on our Rural Action Team, was a really lovely guy who cared deeply and was passionate about policing. He was very popular with all his colleagues and will be sorely missed.”
