Le Clézio – Luxury Holidays in Brittany
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Breton countryside, Le Clézio is a truly wonderful place, perfect for holidays, for relaxing and enjoying the delights of the Brittany countryside and people. A hamlet has existed here at least since the 14th Century, and for some time Le Clézio was in the domaine of the Duc de Rohan. The present “petit manoir” was built in 1781, the longere and cottage are thought to date from around the 16th century, and all have been recently renovated to provide accommodation of exceptional space and comfort.
Le Clézio is a haven of tranquility, set in over three acres of gardens and woodland, and bordering the River Blavet, which forms part of the Nantes–Brest canal system. The gardens offer direct (and unfenced) access to the river and tow path, so you can borrow our bicycles, take a picnic basket and disappear off for the day, and explore at your leisure. A walk or cycle ride along the tow path is a scenic and peaceful experience, no crowds, no rush. Watch out for the otters, herons, and woodpeckers. There’s now also a heated swimming pool and terraced area, and each property also has its own terraces and BBQ area.
